This Rental Policy outlines the general terms and conditions applicable when booking a car through our website. By making a reservation, you confirm that you have read, understood and agreed to the policy described below.
Booking Conditions
All vehicle rentals must be booked online through our platform. Car availability is shown in real time. If a vehicle appears after selecting your rental dates and preferred filters, it is available to book. Reservations cannot be confirmed by phone or email.
Payment and Deposit
Many vehicles can be rented without a credit card. Debit cards are accepted for a large number of offers, and some rentals include low or no deposit options. The accepted payment method and any required deposit are always clearly displayed on the vehicle details page before booking.
Required Documents
At the time of vehicle pick-up, the main driver must present:
– A valid driving licence held for the minimum required period
– A valid passport or national ID card
– A debit or credit card in the driver’s name if required for the selected vehicle
An International Driving Permit is required only if explicitly stated in the rental conditions.
Vehicle Pick-Up and Return
Vehicles can be collected at Faro Airport or other available locations shown during booking. Detailed pick-up instructions and the rental company’s contact information are provided immediately after booking confirmation. The vehicle must be returned on time, to the agreed location, and in the same condition as received.
Fuel Policy
The fuel policy for each rental is clearly indicated before booking. Common options include full-to-full or same-to-same. Customers are required to follow the selected fuel policy to avoid additional charges.
Insurance and Liability
Basic insurance coverage is included in all rentals. Optional full insurance or reduced excess coverage may be available during the booking process. The excess amount and insurance details are shown clearly before reservation confirmation.
Mileage Policy
Mileage conditions depend on the selected vehicle. Some rentals include unlimited mileage, while others may have a daily or total mileage limit. This information is displayed in the vehicle description prior to booking.
Additional Drivers and Extras
Additional drivers, child seats, GPS units and other extras may be available depending on the rental company. Any additional fees are displayed before completing the booking.
Cross-Border Travel
Cross-border travel is permitted only if explicitly stated in the vehicle’s rental conditions. Traveling outside Portugal without prior approval may result in penalties or loss of insurance coverage.
Cancellations and Refunds
Most bookings offer free cancellation up to a specified time before pick-up. Cancellation terms and refund conditions are clearly presented during the booking process.
Late Returns and No-Shows
Late returns may be subject to additional charges. Failure to collect the vehicle at the agreed time without prior notice may be treated as a no-show, and charges may apply according to the rental company’s conditions.
Renter Responsibility
The renter is responsible for traffic violations, tolls, parking fees, and any damage not covered by insurance that occurs during the rental period.
